Singapore Shopping: Friday Late Night Shopping



Shopping in Singapore is one of the most favorite and popular occupations. Not only the Singaporeans are fond of night shopping. This also true for numerous Singapore travelers.




Since January, 2007 “Friday Late Night Shopping” has become a regular feature. It takes place on the last Friday of each month. Now 250 retailers are open till midnight.

The majority of the shopping malls are located in Orchard and Scotts Roads, namely Far East Plaza, Centrepoint, Paragon and Pacific Plaza, TANGS, Wisma Atria, Borders and Paragon.


Besides, food and beverage outlets in the malls have also remained open till midnight enabling shoppers to have late supper in reward for their night shopping.

Moreover, public transport hours are also extended to make it more convenient for shoppers.
The last SMRT trains leave Orchard MRT Station at 12.40 a.m. Similar is true for SBS Transit Services and the last buses of 25 feeder services.


During night shopping some retailers not only have extended their operating hours from 9 p.m. till midnight but are organising individual in-store promotions and activities on top of their tenants' promotions and deals.

At Pacific Plaza shoppers stand a chance to win attractive F&B, wine and CD vouchers from participating merchants and are entitled to participate in the grand lucky draw and win prizes of more than Sin$5,000.
