SINGAPORE : The Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay has received a S$1.5 million pledge from the Cristal Caritas Trust.
This is the largest donation the arts centre has received, since its opening in October 2002.

This is the largest donation the arts centre has received, since its opening in October 2002.
The Cristal Caritas Trust is a charitable organisation which is no stranger to the arts.
It is a recipient of Singapore's Patron of The Arts award in 2007.
The Trust has worked with the Esplanade on various projects, including its dance festival called 'da:ns 2007', in October.
Esplanade's CEO Benson Puah said the donation "will go a long way in helping to bring the magic of the performing arts closer to the lives of diverse groups in our community, including the underprivileged." - CNA/ms
