Singapore News: RSN takes part in submarine exercise with other navies

SINGAPORE: The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) has participated in a submarine exercise code-named Exercise Pacific Reach 2007.

The exercise was hosted by the Royal Australian Navy in Perth, from November 26 to December 7.

The aim of the exercise was to develop mutual trust in submarine rescue among the participating navies, which included the UK, US, Canada, China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

The exercise was last hosted in South Korea in 2004. - CNA/ms
