Chinese website domain names in Singapore

Singapore, as well as countries all over the world, is starting the registration of non-English domain names.
The national registry for domain names - The Singapore Network Information Centre (SGNIC) - will begin accepting initial registrations for Chinese domain names for websites from November 23.

As it is known, Global Internet regulator, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), has allowed Internet addresses to be written in non-English characters, including Arabic, Korean, Japanese and Chinese.

Nowadays in Singapore there is growing interest to reach the Chinese markets. No doubt, using native languages in domain names will promote business.
