Today I am going to tell you about some other snack places. They are Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Jollibean and Bengawan Solo.

Ya Kun Kaya Toast was founded in 1944. It is a chain of air-conditioned snack places very popular among locals in Singapore. It sells Kaya toast, bottled kaya, coffee, tea and other beverages, laksa, Hainanese pork chop, Penang fried kway teow and mee siam and curry chicken. The menu also includes ice cream toast and ice-blended drinks.

For those who don’t know, the kaya is a creamy coconut jam. The kaya toast consists of kaya and butter sandwiched between slices of crisp charcoal-grilled bread. It is usually best enjoyed as breakfast with some soft-boiled eggs and a cup of strong black coffee.

Ya Kun’s efforts in keeping up with the times; the menu offers, alongside traditional coffee and tea, newfangled treats like ice cream toast and and ice-blended drinks.

Jollibean is the favourite place not only for adults but for children as well.
It was found in 1993 as a specialty store. Now it is a company with a chain of 25 outlets. Most of them are located in air-conditioned shopping malls and sells small cakes that are filled with cheese, chocolate or kaya - a traditional spread made from coconut milk. The motto of the company is to provide fresh, healthy soya products for everybody to enjoy everyday!

All Jollibean products are produced daily. They are fresh and are always on demand. They use only the best quality Canadian ‘Hellum’ Soya beans.

With the help of specially designed machines, 100% natural servings of soya milk are prepared fresh on demand. No preservative and no colourings, just fresh and natural soya milk. No doubt, one should check this place during the Singapore travel.
